This year Erdington Academy is raising money for ‘Sport Relief 2018’.
We are going to hold a series of events starting on Monday 19th March and culminating on Friday 23rd March where we will be raising money for Charity Week, an annual event at Erdington Academy.
Over the course of the week students will support Sport Relief by taking part in the annual Sport Relief Mile during their PE Lessons. Students are asked to pay a 50p donation to wear their own sports clothes or fancy dress while they take part in this event.
‘Sport Relief’ is all about getting students to feel good while they do good, therefore on FRIDAY 23th MARCH students are also invited to wear their own clothing in return for a donation of £1. It is important to make it clear that students must still wear appropriate clothing for a school day. There should be no revealing or offensive attire.
Should students not wish to wear their own clothes they can attend in full school uniform on the day as normal, these students will still be able to make a donation to the charity should they wish. Students should bring the donation with them on the day; this money will be collected during form time.
We will also be using ‘Sport Relief’ as a learning opportunity to help our students explore the issues facing young people across the world, and how the money we raise can improve their lives.
We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping Erdington Academy raise lots of money for ‘Sport Relief’ and the other House charities.
